Had An Amazing 50th l Birthday - July 19th

I am first up and take Sealey downstairs and let her out ... She and all the neighbourhood dogs started barking around 3am and I was soon to see why

Hahaha! A wonderful kind of payback from Birdie as Kristin and I had 50 pink flamingos adorn her front yard 4.5yrs ago.

But who is Mora?

The typo on the sign was swiftly remedied by Kristin - bless!
I think it looks even better!

It truly was a PERFECT day!

Highlights: lots of greetings from friends on Facebook and ecards and old fashioned posted cards and gifts from family and friends. Time only permitted 2 telephone calls (sorry) - THANK YOU ALL!!

Day starter full triathlon 4 hr 6 min brick practice with a woman I adore, respect and like a helluva lot - Stacy Juckett-Chestnut! I cannot quite put into words how exceptional a practice it was but to say it was precisely who I needed to be with when at precisely the time I needed it. I feel that providing any details wouldn't do it justice. I will cherish that time Stacy - a forever moment.

Karen Beazley and Ken Crowell arrived so that we could all depart together to cycle but the dynamic duo did a longer ride than Stacy & I but I think that was beneficial for all. Karen and I met in France at the World Du's and were roomies recently during Spring Training in Tucson, AZ. She's a skilled, hard working  athlete and I love everything about her as a person. She's training for Ironman Louisville in August. Ken was also in AZ and is a relative new friend - the whole fam damily enjoyed Ken's presence on the patio after the workout was over. I look forward to spending more time training and chilling with "good karma Ken" as I like to think of him.

Barry's oldest friend Millard and his longtime partner Ruth dropped by... They'll look in at our home while we're away - yay!

Back to the immediate family ... I spent my afternoon and evening with my 3 favourite humans and 3 favourite dogs on the planet... Birdie, Sealey, Barry, Kristin, Paco, Snowbank (no particular order) - you made my day the happiest ever! I love you all individually and as a collective we sure have a blast! We swam,

ate well, drank, laughed til we cried,

cried til we laughed, were silly, serious, solemn, reflective,

ourselves

Gifts - way too many to list but I must say I have never my 50 years received more thoughtful, unique, expensive, creative collection of treasurers. I enjoyed and will continue to enjoy and cherish each one for years to come...  some I will now have to add to my Will - they are showstoppers

Here's me with gifts sent and received in the post from Sylvie - (who already spoiled me with that amazing trip to thr Seattle area!)

One in particular from Bray Scott-Lewis will be relieved after Ironman Lake Placid... You'll see why

To be continued (again more photos of the day to follow when I receive them)
