A classic (not classy) Moka Misadventure

This mishap occurred after an 1hr swim and the 2hr trail run that followed.

Got to car and was dying to pee - trail too busy to duck behind bushes as I usually do.

So as I exit the potty, my car key that was tucked in a pouch on the back off my skort (running skirt with shorts fellas) fell in between that little tiny opening in the floor!

I know, I know - better that than in the potty but holy cowgirls I had to shimmy the whole thing and it is chained to a post! I finally got it as you see it - tilted.

I reached under but nothing but damp grass - eeewwww! I kept at it for awhile, an audience of for male moutain bikers were killing themselves (no offers of help mind you)

I was about to give up and call Barry to rescue me for the umpteenth time (usually keys locked in car at least an hrs drive away). When I realized I had only checked 3 sides. And there is was under the 4th side.

Phew! And yes I shimmied it back to normal. Here's the proof since I'm sure you want more potty pics hahaha

In the end, I was more relieved to retrieve my car key than I was after using the potty! Lol

Now all scrubbed raw, both bikes prepared - Evangeline my workhorse for this evening and Pitoune for our 06h15 departure tomorrow. Early supper aka first and only solid meal of the  day. (Plently of pre - during and post drink and nutrition but not real food - juice, breakfast smoothie, coffee, pre-workout energizer drink, electrolyte drink, 3 gels, recovery drink, protein drink and bar, dried fruit, water.) No rest as planned before I do Sole Sisters Race volunteer bike-sweep duties today 4:45-7:15pm. I understand it is the biggest women's 5k in Canada. My amazing friend Stacy Juckett-Chesnutt founded and runs it.  Mostly all 1st timers or novice runner so it's even more rewarding to support women getting active and it's fun. Buff fighters do a water stop & Stacy and her hubby Tim Chesnutt (EPIC race director) provide the BEST bling for all finishers!

Tomorrow cycling 187k EPIC bike route (21 days away) plus 30 min run immediately after to get my legs used to that transition - it's called a brick workout.
